My beautiful あ100 Toshiba laptop has alas broken down. My pictures and all that are most likely gone, and I'll have to contend with doing without the internet for a good one month or so. It takes that long cos I have to send the bloody thing down to the Toshiba service centre in Chiba, next to Tokyo, which is miles and miles away. I don't why they don't have a service centre in each city; you would think the service and all that is good since Toshiba comes from Japan, but Nooo..ooo.
Aside from grappling with problems about efficiency, I am having a pleasant time here. I've been in holiday mood recently, and among the things I've done are recently, and among the things I've done are:
1) Hitchhiking down to Kumamoto (took us 6 hrs), going down to Kumamoto (took us 6 hrs), viewing the 紅葉 (kouyou - red leaves) at down at kikouchu, soaking in a hot spring, eating more horse sashimi which the place is famous for;
2) Enjoying the sights and soaking in the atmosphere at the 相撲大会 -sumo competition;
3) Making my way down to Dazaifu with the other Singaporeans to view more kouyou and visit Tenmongu Shrine.
Pictures to come! じゃあね!
